Sony to join the tablet war with 'S1'

The new member to join the elite gang of Honeycomb tablets is none other than Sony. After tasting the success in computing world with VAIO series, the company is now all set to introduce Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet codenamed ‘S1’, sources reported.

It has been reported that Sony will join the tablet rush by end of this year.  The tech giant unlike other manufacturers is taking its own sweet time to enter the tablet race. On other hand, Acer Iconia Tab A100 tablet is ready to be available for pre-order by April.
It has been assumed that the imminent tablet boasts of 9.4-inch touch display locked with 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution. As mentioned earlier, the device will run Android 3.0 and is based on Tegra 2 processor.

Insiders have also revealed that the new tablet is PlayStation certified and will feature the Qriocity media platform, as witnessed on the PS3 for music.

No wonder, Sony’s S1 will further fierce the tablet war.
