Dell to guide enterprises, introduces new servers

Dell has come up with a new range of servers and has also introduced guides, which shall help enterprises to choose between them, sources reported.

The guide will help first time users of servers and others who want to expand infrastructures to decide on the IT structure, they want to build.

According to sources, Dell is offering refreshed value servers with the right balance of performance, flexible features and business value catered towards SMBs and branch offices. The servers have been named as PowerEdge T110 II and PowerEdge R210 II for entry level and mid level respectively.

The servers will help enterprises to run business applications and also coordinate and share, protect, manage and scale giving impetus to growth of organizations, sources informed.

The addition to the servers reportedly offers a choice between processors like Intel Xeon, Intel Core and Intel Pentium processors along with 4 DIMM slots with enough memory to support common applications. There is also an Openmanage suite of systems management to make maintenance simple.

The big question that small and midsize companies are asking is whether they should use the cloud to manage data or not? Dell is looking to solve this dilemma of enterprises.
